BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – October 10, 2018 – TAMKO Building Products, Inc. highlights the unique features of its Envision® composite decking that can provide real solutions for builders and contractors facing a skilled labor shortage. The brand is calling out these features in a newly-released chart comparing Envision to three of the other top composite deck boards on the market.
“This really highlights what we’ve been saying all along – Envision is not only a superior product in terms of beauty and appearance, but also in some of the unique features of its construction,” said Shara Gamble, director of Envision Decking sales and marketing. “Compare Envision for yourself and you’ll see its beauty goes deeper than the surface.”
Envision’s specially-blended colors and an enhanced warranty continue to make it a top choice among homeowners for its beauty and durability. Its unique compression-molded construction creates deep-grain patterns you can feel and bold color blends that call to mind the beauty of exotic hardwoods. Both the grain and color patterns are random, never repeating across a single board, providing a more beautiful and natural looking deck. A leading competitor’s pattern repeats up to five times on each 16-foot board.
Envision is also the only choice of the four brands featured in the comparison chart that, in addition to its 25-year limited warranty, offers a 5-year full-start warranty period, during which labor costs are also covered.

Envision Inspiration® takes a que from nature with softly blended hues creating warmth and a one-of-a-kind character that is reflected in the name of its three new colors – Weathered Wicker, which incorporates a spectrum of relaxing darker browns; Tangled Twine, which captures shades of light brown; and Barnwood Plank, which balances deep gray tones.
TAMKO®’s Senior Director Decking, Brian Lowry, said, “Inspiration has softer highlights than the bold look of TAMKO®’s Envision Distinction®™, but a definite two-tone color that sets it apart from the recently introduced, solid color Envision Expression®™ board.”
Inspiration is the third offering in TAMKO®’s Envision® Collection of capped composite lumber, which offers something for homes of every style and customers at every price point.
One look at TAMKO®’s striking Envision® Collection when installed sets it apart from the sea of same looking boards offered by the competition. According to TAMKO®’s Executive Vice President, Tim Whelan, “Inspiration is the culmination of a challenge to our Six Sigma and manufacturing organizations to design a product with incredible beauty, character and warmth, distinct from anything in the market. I believe they hit it out of the park. Inspiration is an amazing looking product, and I expect it to be an outstanding success in the market.”
With the addition of Inspiration, TAMKO® rounds out its family of capped decking boards with an array of solid, muted and bold tones designed for people who want to Envision® life on their decks.
Inspiration is available for customer orders now and will begin shipping in January.
